Abstract
Soil pollution with heavy metals is a problem of worldwide concern and is still unsolved. Lasiurus scindicus one of the member of family poaceae was chosen in this work for decontaminating soil from heavy metal chromium. Plant was grown in pots in different soil concentrations (80%, 60%, 40%, 20%) for 105 days, which was contaminated with heavy metals. It has been established that poaceae family plants most efficiently remove heavy metals and cleans soil. Result showed that Lasiurus scindicus removed up to 80% of chromium from the polluted soil in root. This suggests that Lasiurus scindicus was good candidate species for phytoremediation of heavy metal chromium.
