Abstract
Extensive surveys were undertaken to assess the status of fluoride distribution in drinking water sources of villages of Surguja District in Chhattisgarh State. Surguja District is a great table land of numerous hills and plateau. The two important physiographic features of the district are the Mainpat Plateau and the Jamirpat Plateau. In Surguja District all blocks are affected to fluoride above the permissible limits of World Health Organization (WHO) i.e. 1.5 mg/L. In Batoli block the maximum value of fluoride is 4.50 mg/L.
