Abstract
The present investigation was carried out to study the effect of enriched compost, vermiwash and inorganic fertilizers on yield attributes and yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under the Typic Haplustepts during rabi seasons of 2023â24 and 2024â25 at Instructional Farm, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. A Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications were laid out to study sixteen treatment combinations of four sources of organic nutrition and four doses of inorganic fertilizer. Foliar spray of vermiwash @ 10% at 60 DAS and enriched compost @ 7 t ha-1 had a significant effect on tillers growth, test weight, grain yield, straw yield, and biological yield over control during 2023 24 and 2024-25. Application of 100% RDF recorded higher tillers (72.06 and 74.77 m-1 row length), test weight (40.52 and 40.57 g), grain yield (4170.13 and 4253.12 kg ha-1), straw yield (6690.57 and 6535.62 kg ha-1) and biological yield (10860.70 and 10788.73 kg ha-1) than 75% O3I3 treatment combination gave the highest grain yield (4652.46 and 4751.68 kg ha-1) and straw yield (7354.28 and 7249.90 kg ha-1) during 2023â24 and 2024â25, respectively indicating significant interaction between organic and inorganic nutrient sources. Organic or inorganic nutrients did not alter the harvest index. Under Typic Haplustepts enriched compost, vermiwash and recommended levels of fertilizer boosted the production of wheat.
