Abstract
An experiment was carried out on Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek, var. GM-4) using soil to assess the effect of applied sludge and fertilizer on different soil properties. The ten treatments are used in completely randomized design (CRD) as treatments. Viz. Control (T1), 100% RDF (T2), 75% P2O5 from SSP + 25% P2O5 from sludge + N (T3), 50% P2O5 from SSP + 50% P2O5 from sludge + N (T4), 25% P2O5 from SSP + 75% P2O5 from sludge + N (T5), 100% P2O5 from sludge + N (T6), 75% P2O5 from sludge (T7), 100% P2O5 from sludge (T8), 75% P2O5 from sludge + PSB + Rhizobium (T9) and 100% P2O5 from sludge + PSB + Rhizobium(T10) and replicated in thrice. The results indicated that applied treatment T10 reduced the pH from 8.31 (control) to 7.58 of sludge amended soil. The organic carbon content were found highest in the treatment T10 (0.26 %) as compared to control and dehydrogenase activity maximum (6.19 ?g TPF/g/h) were found in the same this treatment T10. DTPA Extractable Zn (0.76 mg/kg), Fe (7.75 mg/kg), Cu (0.75 mg/kg) and Mn (5.45 mg/kg) in post- harvest soil were significantly higher the in treatment T10.
