Abstract
A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of different INM treatments on soil chemical and biological properties in a guava orchard at the Main Experiment Station, Department of Fruit Science, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya (U.P). during 2024-2025. Among the treatments, T6 (50% RDF + Azotobacter + PSB + vermicompost) recorded the lowest soil pH (8.357) and EC (0.253), while showing the highest organic carbon content (0.420 mg/kg) and maximum availability of nitrogen (187.74 kg/ha), phosphorus (14.33 kg/ha), and potassium (197.78 kg/ha). Similarly, the maximum dehydrogenase (44.17 µg TPF g-1 soil h-1) and alkaline phosphatase (92.71 µg pNPP g-1 h-1) activities, along with higher bacterial (149.00à 106 CFU g-¹ soil), fungal (13.00à 104 CFU g-¹ soil), and actinomycetes (15.67à 105 CFU g-¹ soil) populations was observed under T.
