Abstract
The two years of study was conducted to investigate the impact of foliar spray of calcium and boron on the quality of polyhouse-grown âHeemsohnaâ tomato. Calcium 0.75 % optimum does suitable enhancing shelf life of fruit, ascorbic acid, lycopene content in fruit and minimum moisture percent in fruits reported. Boron treated plant fruit higher TSS with 0.50 % Borax and ascorbic acid, lycopene as well as minimum moisture percent with higher self-life traits reported during the experiment in 0.25% Borax foliar application. Increasing cell wall compactness was observed after calcium and boron foliar treatment during the crop cycle. The rate of respiration was lowest in Ca à B foliar spray, with lower moisture content in fruits, best self-life was reported in treated plant fruits.
