Abstract
Culantro is an herb which is often used as a substitute for coriander due to its similar aroma and fragrance. Being lesser known and its limited commercial cultivation, it is often categorized as an underutilized crop. In the present study, the effect of organic manure (FYM and vermicompost) and biofertilizer (Arka Microbial Consortium and Arka Actino plus) singly and in combination was observed over control on the different growth and yield parameters of culantro. Plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, length of the leaves, root length, root circumference, fresh weight and dry weight were observed. It was found that the treatment combination T12 (FYM@400g +Vermicompost@250g+ Arka Microbial Consortium @ 50 ml + Arka Actino Plus @ 50 ml) was found superior over all treatments and yield positive response on growth and yield trait. Therefore, the above treatment combination can be recommended to the farmers for the commercial cultivation of the crop.
