RESEARCH ON THE METHOD VALIDATION OF PROFENOFOS IN COFFEE-GROWING SOIL: A CASE STUDY IN LAM DONG PROVINCE, VIETNAM

Lam Viet Dang and Toan Duc Vu

Abstract

Thirty soil samples were collected from 15 coffee gardens at depths of 0-15 cm and 16-30 cm. The analytical procedure of prosenofos in the soil was referenced from previous studies, and method validation were researched. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were 1.5 µg/kg and 5.0 µg/kg, respectively. Profenofos concentrations ranged from N.D to 54.6 µg/kg. The monitoring of pesticide residues in the environment is necessary to provide accurate and timely recommendations to relevant authorities to ensure farmer health and prevent adverse environmental impacts.
