Abstract
The increasing climate change, biodiversity destruction, and degradation of the ecosystems underscore the shortcomings of the traditional mitigation-based environmental policies. The paper advocates a shift in environmental regulation to regenerative, resilience-focused environmental governance. Based on ecological resilience theory and current policy frameworks, this study focuses on how adaptive governance, ecosystem restoration and circular economy policies can improve ecological recovery and long-term sustainability. The discussion shows that resilience principles incorporated in the environmental policy enhance adaptability, minimize structural susceptibility, and promote regenerative development. The article is relevant to the field of environmental governance as it develops the resilience-based model of sustainable policy change.
