IMPACT OF FOLIAR NANO UREA AND NANO DAP ON QUALITY ATTRIBUTES OF GRAPES (VITIS VINIFERA) CV. MUSCAT HAMBURG

Venkatraj N. and Rajkumar M.

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of foliar application of Nano Urea and Nano DAP on the quality of grape (Vitis vinifera L.) cv. Muscat Hamburg. The study was laid out in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with sixteen treatments, including varying concentrations of Nano Urea (0.2%, 0.3% & 0.4%), Nano DAP (0.2%, 0.3% & 0.4%), their combinations, and a recommended soil-applied NP as control, and it was replicated thrice. Foliar sprays were applied at the vegetative and berry development stages. Results revealed that the combined application of 0.2% Nano Urea + 0.4% Nano DAP produced the highest total soluble solids (TSS), total sugars, reducing and non-reducing sugars, and the lowest titrable acidity. The study demonstrates that foliar application of Nano Urea and Nano DAP can significantly enhance the quality attributes of Muscat Hamburg grapes.
