Abstract

In India, Central Water Commission (CWC, 2014), vide the instant Guideline, carries forward the standardization of the definition of the Water Use Efficiency which is broadly suggested by Indian Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) into four components such as Reservoir Filling Efficiency/Diversion Efficiency/Operational Efficiency, Conveyance Efficiency, On-Farm Application Efficiency and Drainage Efficiency. The overall project efficiency is the product of all four components. The present study includes the study of Panzara Irrigation Project District Dhule Maharashtra command area about 7000 ha for all the irrigation rotations for successive season such as kharif, rabbi and hot weather /zed season. This study reviles four efficiencies to depict the overall project efficiency. The Reservoir Filling Efficiency with Inflow Pattern = 96.65%, Canal/Conveyance Efficiency = 71.67%, On Farm Application Efficiency = 66.05%, Drainage Efficiency 88.86 % and Potential Created and Utilized 36%. These focused on overall efficiency to 40.61 % which is coinciding with India average.
