Abstract

The present study was carried out during the year 2024-25 in the winter season and the field experiment was laid out in a split-plot design having three dates of sowing December 3, 10 and 17 as main plot treatments and four varieties HUW-234, LOK-1, Shriram-303 and Unnat Halna as sub-plot treatments. Results show the maximum vegetative growth, yield attributes, grain yield, straw yield and harvest index observed on December 3. Maximum values of wheat grain yield (44.58 q/ha) and straw yield (68.09 q/ha), gross return (Rs ha-1) 1,40,578 and 2:10 benefit cost ratio recorded on December 3 date of sowing and bread wheat variety Shriram-303 produced significantly good plant, maximum number of tillers, leaf area index, Yield attributes like spike length, grains/spike, 1000- grain weight, harvest index, maximum net income and benefit: cost ratio followed by LOK-1, Unnat Halna and HUW-234 at all stages of crop growth.
