Abstract
Samples were taken from subjects with burn wound infections and processed to isolate Pseudomonas sp and Escherichia coll., By direct microscopic, biochemical characterization and cultural conditions they were confirmed. The isolates were subjected to antibiotic sensitivity pattern test and drug resistant Pseudomonas sp and drug sensitive E. coli were selected plasmid pattern of both organisms were studied and by calcium chloride dry ice technique the plasmids from Pseudomonas were transferred to E. coli. by subjecting the transformants to antibiogram the plasmid borne drug resistance was proved and percentage of transformation was calculated as 70%. In the laboratory media genetic recombination was achieved as natural and was confirmed by antibiotic resistance in recombinant cells. The recombination frequency was calculated to be 42.68%.
