Abstract

The present study was carried out during 2024-2025 in the tehsils of Parbhani, Manwat, and Jintur, located in Parbhani district of the Marathwada region in Maharashtra State. The primary objective of the study was to assess the “Awareness levels of farmers regarding the benefits of drone technology in agriculture”. A total of twelve villages were selected for the research study, with four villages chosen from each of the three tehsils. From each village, ten farmers were randomly selected, resulting in a sample size of 120 farmers. The study adopted an ex-post-facto research design. Data were collected using a well-structured questionnaire specifically developed for the study, and information was gathered through personal interviews with the farmers. The collected data were then carefully edited, tabulated, and analyzed using appropriate statistical tools such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The study found that over half of the farmers (63.33%) had a moderate level of awareness regarding the benefits of drone technology in agriculture. Additionally, 20.83% of the farmers had a low level of awareness, while 15.84% demonstrated a high level of awareness.
