Abstract
The bioactive chemicals in Phoenix pusilla fruit extract were identified in this study using gas chromatographymass spectrometry, and a total of 30 compounds were detected, including 22 phytochemical compounds with various therapeutic actions. The major components are decanoic acid, 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, diethyl ester, 1,5-anhydro-d-mannitol, ethanol, 2-(9-octadecenyloxy), hexatriacontane, 1,2- benzenedicarboxylic acid, bis(2-methylpropyl) ester, tetratriacontane, n-hexadecanoic acid, dibutyl phthalate, pentadecanal n-pentadecanol, iron, tricarbonyl[n-(phenyl-2-pyridinylmethylene) benzenamine oleic acid, octadecanoic acid, eicosane, 1-hentetracontanol, 9,12-octadecadienoic acid, heptadecane, 2,6,10,15- tetramethy, nonadecanoic acid, heneicosane, hexadecanoic acid, 2-hydroxy-1,3-propanediyl ester, phthalic acid, di(2-propylpentyl) ester and minor compounds were also present. The fruit of the Phoenix pusilla plant contains a variety of bioactive chemicals with a range of biological activities, according to the results. It is therefore advised as a plant of phytopharmaceutical potential.
