Abstract
Plant diversity is the variety of plant species in a specific area. It can also referred to the differences among plants and the variety of characteristics they have. Examples of plant diversity are Herbs, Shrubs, Trees, Angiosperms, Gymnosperms and Bryophytes. The plant diversity is very important and some importance of plant diversity are soil health diverse, crop rotation improve, rainfall infiltration, nutrient cycling and reduce disease and pests. And plant diversity is a part of biological diversity. Plant diversity also known as Phyto diversity, refers to the variety of plant life in a given area, including the differences within and between plant species, and the ecosystems they inhabit. It encompasses genetic diversity within species, species richness (number of different species) and ecosystem diversity. Plant diversity is crucial for ecosystem health, providing essential resources like food, medicine, and shelter, and maintaining ecological balance. However, it faces significant threats from habitat loss, overexploitation, invasive species, pollution, and climate change.
