Abstract
Acrostichum aureum L., commonly known as the golden leather fern, is a vital component of mangrove ecosystems. This study investigates its morphological features, habitat preferences, ecological significance, and potential ethnobotanical applications in the mangrove habitats of South Goa, India. Observations from the field and secondary literature provide insight into the plantâs adaptability and role in the ecosystem.
