Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy Research Farm, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) during Kharif 2024, to carry out bio efficacy of pre and post emergence herbicides on nutrient content, depletion by weeds and economics of mungbean. Two hand weeding was found minimum weed dry weight that was at par with the application of fomesafen 11.1% + fluzaifop-p butyl 11.1% SL (Ready mix) @ 220 g a.i. ha-1 and clodinafop propargyl 8 EC + sodium - aciflurofen 16.5 EC (Ready mix) @ 187.5 g ha-1 at 15-20 DAS, these treatments significantly reduced total weed dry weight than other herbicidal treatments and weedy check. The maximum weed dry weight was found in weedy check. Hence the highest depletion of N, P and K by weeds was recorded under the weedy check followed by Pendimethalin 30 EC @ 1.0 kg ha-1 (PE), while the minimum depletion of N, P and K by weeds was recorded under two hand weeding. Highest B: C ratio (2.58) was recorded under the application of fomesafen 11.1% + fluzaifop-p butyl 11.1% SL (Ready mix) @ 220 g a.i. ha-1.
