Abstract
Phoma glomerata infecting the cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis) was collected from the Nashik District of Maharashtra. For study of production of dry mycelium biomass, the pathogen was inoculated on Czapek dox liquid media by using ten different carbon and nitrogen sources. After ten days of incubation period dry mycelium biomass was recorded. Result shows that the starch as a carbon source shows maximum mycelium biomass followed by control and minimum mycelium biomass was produced on fructose. While maximum mycelium biomass was produced on potassium nitrate, followed by calcium nitrate and minimum biomass production on nickel nitrate as a nitrogen source used in culture medium.
