Abstract
The present research investigation was undertaken to work out the rainfall variability assessment of different blocks of Dholpur district, Rajasthan. The coefficient of variation and standard deviation for weekly, monthly and annual rainfall were computed for all the five blocks. The normal onset of monsoon in Dholpur district is between June to September. It was found that higher annual rainfall trend was variable during last three decades. The mean annual rainfall is lowest in Saipau block during last two decades. When the CV for the annual rainfall was examined, it was found be the least in Bari block followed by Saipau, Dholpur and Baseri block, where it was highest.
