Abstract
Agricultural activities produce significant amounts of waste, often leading to environmental degradation when not properly managed. Agro-waste, primarily consisting of crop residues, livestock waste, and byproducts from agro-industries, poses a growing challenge for sustainable agriculture. Effective agro-waste management is essential to mitigate environmental impact, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance economic returns through resource recovery. This paper explores the current strategies for agro-waste management, evaluates their effectiveness, and presents innovative and sustainable approaches to address these challenges. Case studies from different regions are examined to illustrate best practices and successful implementation of agro-waste management strategies.
