ASSESSMENT OF CLOVE ATTRIBUTES OF GARLIC UNDER VARIOUS DOSES OF ORGANIC MANURES

Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Assessment of clove attributes of garlic under various doses of organic manures” was conducted at the Horticulture Research Block of Department of Horticulture, School of Agriculture Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Pathribagh, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. in the rabi season for two years 2021-22 and 2022-23. Two local varieties namely Pahadi Local and Desi Local were used in a Randomized Block Design with three replicates under 12 treatments containing different combinations of organic manures T1: Control, T2: Farm Yard Manure@ 10 t/ha, T3: Vermicompost@ 5t/ha, T4: Vermiwash@ 50%, T5: Cow urine @ 20%, T6: PSB@ 5 Kg/ha, T7: FYM @ 5 t/ha +Vermicompost@ 2.5t/ha + Vermiwash@ 25%, T8: FYM @ 5 t/ha + Vermicompost@ 2.5t/ha + Cow urine@ 10%, T9: FYM @ 5 t/ha +Vermicompost@ 2.5t/ha + PSB@ 2.5 Kg/ha, T10: Vermicompost@ 2.5t/ha + Vermiwash@ 25% + PSB@ 2.5Kg/ha, T11 : FYM @ 5 t/ha +Vermicompost@ 2.5t/ha +Vermiwash@ 25% +Cow urine@ 10% +PSB @ 2.5 Kg/ha, T12 : FYM @ 10 t/ha +Vermicompost@ 5t/ha + Vermiwash@ 50% + Cow urine@ 20% + PSB @ 5 Kg/ha. Among cultivars the clove length was highest in Pahadi Local whereas among treatments, T8 gave highest clove length. Clove diameter was highest in Pahadi Local whereas T5 gave highest clove diameter.
