Abstract
In recent years, the global energy landscape has undergone significant transformation, with a pronounced shift towards renewable sources such as solar power. This transition is particularly relevant for regions like Mizoram, where traditional energy infrastructures are often insufficient to meet growing demands. Characterized by its hilly terrain and abundant sunshine, Mizoram presents unique opportunities for the development of solar power plants. Such initiatives not only aim to enhance energy security but also align with broader environmental goals by reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Investment in solar energy can catalyze economic growth through job creation and technological innovation, while simultaneously promoting sustainable practices in energy consumption. As Mizoram ventures into harnessing its solar potential, the integration of local community involvement and government policies becomes crucial for the successful implementation and long-term sustainability of solar power initiatives. Primary data and secondary data were gathered. Participant observation was applied in this research paper, which paves the way for a decisive study. This paper attempts to underscore the conditions of the potentiality that Mizoram is having on generating electricity from Solar Energy and possible challenges that occur. The findings of the study revealed the feasibility of generating electricity from Solar Power Plant.
