SMART SOIL REVOLUTION: PIONEERING ADVANCED TECHNIQUES FOR MODERN AGRICULTURE

K. Swathi1, V. Ramakrishna and S.V. Sudheer Kumar

Abstract

In order to maintain food security and boost the economy, agriculture is essential. However, it requires a lot of manual labour and is highly affected by environmental changes, which can disrupt plant growth and reduce productivity. Stabilizing plant growth and increasing agricultural output are essential to address these challenges and ensure sustainability. This work focuses on developing a system that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), microcontrollers, and sensors to improve crop productivity by automating key agricultural tasks. The system will monitor important factors such as fire hazards, temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. An automated irrigation system will be included, which will use this data to supply water to the crops as needed. For example, the system will regularly check the soil’s moisture level and activate irrigation only when it is below the required level for the crops. This helps save water, improve soil health, and reduce the manual effort required by farmers. By adopting AI, IoT, and other modern technologies, this system aims to support farmers, enhance productivity, and encourage environmentally friendly agricultural methods, guaranteeing a brighter future for all.
