Abstract
Floristic study of any particular region is very important as it provides valuable data for further research in different fields. The present study was aimed at documentation of diversity of angiospermic plants in R.H. Government P.G. College, Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. The college campus which sprawls over 33 acres in tarai belt of Uttarakhand was visited regularly in different seasons. A total of 203 angiospermic plant species, representing 160 genera and 59 families, were documented. Among these, 52 families were dicots, comprising 135 genera, while 7 families were monocot, comprising 25 genera. The campus flora, with 73% native and 27% exotic species, included 143 herbs, 13 shrubs, 27 trees and 20 climbers. Asteraceae emerged as the largest family, with the highest number of species (21), followed by Poaceae, Fabaceae and Euphorbiaceae.
