Abstract
The present study was undertaken during 2019-20 to evaluate 11 marigold varieties including 6 french and 5 African varieties for their morphological characters. The varieties under study showed significant variations for different yield and quality attributes. The variety Pusa Narangi Gainda (9.74) had significantly maximum number of plucking as compared to other varieties. Pusa Narangi Gainda (118.31 q) was recorded maximum estimated flower yield per hectare. Chlorophyll pigment was maximum in Pusa Bahar (6.91 mg). The variety Pusa Narangi Gainda (3.22 mg), recorded maximum xanthophyll content. The maximum shelf life of flowers (3.57days) was recorded in Pusa Narangi Gainda. The maximum vase life of flowers was observed in Pusa Narangi Gainda (15.93 days).
