Abstract

The field experiment was conducted during the Rabi season of 2023-24 at the Crop Research Centre, School of Agriculture, ITM University, Gwalior, (M.P.) to investigate the effect of different levels of phosphorus and sulphur on yield attributes and yield of linseed. The experiment consists of three levels of phosphorus(30, 40 and 50 kg P2 O5 ha-1) and three levels of sulphur (25, 45, and 65 kg S ha-1), and absolute control was laid out in a Factorial randomized block design with three replications. The results revealed that the application of 50 kg P2 O5 ha-1 recorded significantly maximum number of capsules plant-1, number of seeds capsules-1, test weight, seed yield, straw yield, biological yield and harvest index, being at par with 40 Kg P2 O5 ha-1 and followed by 30 kg P2 O5 ha-1. Among the sulphur levels, the application of 65 kg S ha-1 recorded significantly maximum number of capsules plant-1, number of seeds capsules-1, test weight, seed yield, straw yield, biological yield and harvest index, being at par with 45 kg S ha-1 and followed by 25 kg S ha-1. Among all the treatment combinations, T6- 40 kg P2 O5 + 45 kg S ha-1 recorded maximum value of net return, and benefitcost ratio.
