Abstract

Selected insecticides viz. Imidacloprid 17.8 % SL, Spinosad 45%SC, Emamectin benzoate 5 % SG, Spiromesifen 22.9 %SC, Diafenthiuron 50 % WP, Propargite 57 % EC, Cyantraniliprole 10.26 % OD, Spirotetramat 15.31 % OD, Pyriproxyfen 10 % EC were evaluated for their effectiveness against chilli aphids by conducting field trail at PGI, MPKV, rahuri during year Kharif 2022 and Kharif 2023. The result from pooled data of two years revealed that, cyantraniliprole 10.26 OD consistently, proved to be the most promising treatment by recording the least population (4.56/3leaves/plant) followed by imidacloprid 17.8 SL (5.34 aphids/3leaves/plant) and spinosad (5.88 aphids/3leaves/plant). The treatment spiromesifen 22.9SC (6.42 aphids/3leaves/plant) which was at par diafenthuron 50WP 6.55 aphids/3leaves/plant).It was found that the treatment cyantraniliprole 10.26 % OD had highest yield (63.6 q/ha) which is 61.83 per cent increase over the control followed by the treatment spiromesifen 22.9 % SC (62.9 q/ha) which is 60.05 per cent increase over the control.
