Abstract

The field investigation was carried out at the Experimental Farm, Department of Agronomy, Annamalai University to enumerate the weed management practices for increasing the yield of transplanted rice during the Kuruvai season (June-September, 2023) in a randomized block design with seven treatments and three replications by using the rice variety ADT 43. The results showed that the maximum highest plant height (96.33 cm), number of tillers hill-1 (12.31), leaf area index (5.85), crop growth rate (12.84 g-2day-1), dry matter production (12,088kg ha-1), grain (5,985kg ha-1) and straw yield (8,978kg ha-1) were significantly high under treatmentT6- Pretilachlor + Pyrazosulfuron-ethyl @ 615 g a.i ha-1 at 3 DAT followed by Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 0.1 kg a.i ha-1 at 25 DAT.
