Abstract
To study the Effect of various herbicides combination on physiological parameters Yield and economics of Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) a field experiment was conducted at the Crop Research Centre, School of Agriculture, ITM University Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, during the Kharif season of 2023. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design (RBD) with 10 treatment combinations and each treatment was replicated thrice. The results of the experiment revealed that among all the herbicide treatments preemergence application of Pendimethalin 30% EC@ 1250 g ha-1 (PE)fb hand weeding at 40 DAS stage recorded higher values of crop dry matter accumulation (g m-²). The physiological growth parameters such as mean crop growth rate (g m-² day-1) and mean relative growth rate (mg g-1 day-1) significantly responded to herbicide application over the weedy check (control). However, higher grain yield (1671 kg ha-¹), haulm yield (2856.75 kg ha-1), harvest index (36.91), gross return (Rs. 14080.67 ha-¹), net return (Rs.95457.84 ha-¹) and B:C ratio (Rs. 2.10 re-¹ invested) were recorded with application of Pendimethalin 30% EC@ 1250 g ha-1(PE)fb hand weeding at 40 DAS stage.
