Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Banaras Hindu University, Mirzapur during the kharif season of 2018-19 to investigate the impact of varying levels of nitrogen (N) and farm yard manure (FYM) on the nutrient content and uptake by the pearl millet (Pennisetum galaucum L.) in a custard apple based Agri horticultural system with twelve treatments combinations, comprised with four different levels of N (0, 50, 80 and 110 kg ha-1) and three FYM level (0, 10 and 15 t ha-1), respectively. The experimental design was laid out in a Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. The findings show that, compared to applying N level alone, the combined application of FYM with nitrogen level increases pearl millet productivity. The nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium content and uptake by pearl millet of grain and stover yield significantly enhanced with levels of 15 tonnes FYM ha-1 and 110 kg N ha-1 compared to control.
