Abstract
A Field experiment was conducted during the Rabi season of 2023-24 at crop research center of ITM University Gwalior, (M.P.), to investigate the Response of different fertility levels and foliar nutrition on chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) under grid region of Madhya Pradesh the experiment consisted factorial randomized design with three replication and comprised three fertility levels (75% RDF, 100% RDF, and 125% RDF) and four foliar nutrition (control (water spray), Urea 2%, DAP 2% and Urea phosphate 0.5% at pre-flowering and pod initiation stage) All the treatments were applied to the chickpea variety Jawahar gram - 36 (JG- 36). The result reveals that among the various fertility levels, application of 125% RDF significantly increased the growth and yield parameters viz. plant height (cm), dry matter accumulation, leaf area index, pods plant-1, seeds pods-1, seed yield, straw yield, and biological yield. Over 75% RDF and at par with 100% RDF. Similarly, among the foliar nutrition, Urea 2% at pre-flowering and pod initiation significantly increased the growth, and yield parameters viz. plant height (cm), dry matter accumulation, leaf area index, pods plant-1, seeds pods-1, seed yield, straw yield, and biological yield. And at par with urea phosphate 0.5% and followed by DAP 2% over control
