Abstract
This study explores the influence of crucial macroeconomic factors on Indiaâs CO2 emissions from 1990 to 2019 in the context of the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis. The findings support the EKC hypothesis in India. Fossil fuel consumption is found to be a significant driver of CO2 emissions. Renewable energy usage and its positive impact on enhancing environmental quality underscore the importance of policymakers prioritizing the promotion of renewable energy adoption.
