CURRENT STATUS OF WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTHWORKERS AT T&N GARMENT COMPANY KHANH HOA, VIETNAM

Abstract

Cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted at T&N Garment Co., Ltd., Khanh Hoa province, Vietnam from July 2022 to December 2023 based on measurement tools to evaluate the working environment of 1500 workers. for the purpose of evaluating the working environment and its impact on the health and illness of workers at this facility. Research results show that, regarding the working environment, 21/36 samples measured temperature, 16/36 samples measured humidity, 17/36 samples measured wind speed, 22/36 samples measured light, 9/36 samples measured Noise measurement and 12/36 dust samples did not meet the standards allowed in Vietnam. The highest rate of workers with health level I and II is 78.2 %. Due to environmental pollution, ear, nose and throat diseases and gynecological diseases are the group of diseases with the highest incidence in the disease structure of garment workers here, the rate is 16.4%; followed by eye diseases (16.0%) and bronchial and lung diseases (14.0%) (Advanced age affects the incidence of ear-nose-throat, bronchial-pulmonary, and neurological diseases. Research shows that the working environment and health status of workers still have many shortcomings that need to be overcome.
