Abstract

Field experiments were conducted to study the effect of microbial consortia inoculation and chemical fertilizers on available DTPA extractable zinc, iron, manganese and copper in soil after harvest of chickpea crop during rabi season of 2020-21 and 2021-22 at Research Farm, Department of Soil science and agricultural Chemistry, VNMAU, Parbhani. Experimental treatment consist of four Levels of Microbial consortium inoculation viz. Rhizobium species Bacillus megaterium, Pseudomonas striata thiobacillus thioxidants and uninoculated control and four levels of chemical fertilizers i.e 100% RDF 75% RDF 50% RDF and control (without fertilizers) Seed treatment of soybean and chickpea was done 100 ml per 10 kg seeds with microbial consortium immediately before sowing and chemical fertilizers were applied at the time of sowing as per RDF. Application of microbial consortia inoculation and chemical fertilizers were significantly improve the status of available extractable micronutrient Zn, Fe, Cu and Mn was improved with microbial consortia inoculation and 100 % RDF (NPK) after harvest of chickpea crop during both the years 2020-21 and 2021-22 experimentation year.
