Abstract

The field experiment was conducted to know the “Impact of chemical fertilizers, phospho-gypsum, and fly ash on the nutritional content and growth of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in an inceptisol of Varanasi at Banaras Hindu University. The treatments consisted 15 combinations of fly ash and phosphogypsum laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The application of 75% RDF + 15 t FA ha-1 + 2 t PG ha-1 significantly enhanced the yield attributes and content of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S in grain and straw, of crop during both the years and in pooled analysis. The graded combination of 75% RDF with fly ash and phosphogypsum (T15), registered significantly higher nitrogen content in grain (1.605, 1.611, 1.608 %) and straw (0.497, 0.505, 0.501 %), phosphorus in grain (0.319, 0.320, 0.320 %) and straw (0.497, 0.5050.501 %), potassium in grain (0.361, 0.466, 0.464 %) and straw (1.421, 1.425, 1.423%), over rest of treatments in 2014- 15, 2015-16 and pool respectively.
