Abstract
Climate change is a worldwide concern and it is closely related to agriculture. It may lead to substantial economic losses for farmers and affects crop production, causing food scarcity and price fluctuations in a region. This research primarily aims to analyse adaptation choices of farmers to climate changeââ¬â¢s influences and their determining factors. For this purpose, a primary survey was conducted in the Cachar district of Assam from December, 2022 to July, 2023. To examine the determining factors of adaptation tactics to lessen the adverse influences of climate variations, Binary Logistic Regression (BLR) technique is employed. The findings of the BLR analysis reveal that the experience of farmers, family size, size of operational land holdings, education level, and proximity to the nearest town all exert significant influence on the various adaptation strategies employed.
