Abstract

Population dynamics of rugose spiralling whitefly, Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin on coconut was conducted during the winter season 2022 at Horticulture Farm, College of Agriculture, Pune. The population of rugose spirallling whitefly was recorded throughout the winter season which was in the range of 10.12 to 34.68 adults per leaflet. During 52nd SMW (24 December- 31 December), the peak population of rugose spiralling whitefly, i.e. 34.68 adults/ leaflet was noticed while lowest population, i.e. 10.12 adults per leaflet was recorded during 42nd SMW (15 October to 21 October). The correlation study with weather parameters showed significant positive correlation with maximum temperature, morning relative humidity and bright sunshine hours and significant negative correlation with minimum temperature, afternoon relative humidity and rainfall.
