CONSTRUCTION STRATEGY AND SOCIO ECOLOGY OF KOLONG POST TIN MINING IN BANGKA ISLAND, INDONESIA

Abstract

Kolong (water basin post tin mining local community called) becomes one of impact as result of human intervention in carrying out the necessities of tin ore which still has carrying capacity. It needs intervention from human in managing and utilizing in order to increase the carrying capacity of Kolong system toward social system in the surrounding society. The objective of this research is to carry out the construction strategy of social-ecology post tin through construction strategy of socio-ecology post tin ore by using ecological principle and sustainability development. The methodology of the research is a combination of both qualitative and quantitative. This research used various analysis. The analysis were SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), SAST (Strategic Assumption Surface Testing), ISM (Interpetation Structural Modeling), PSE (Policy Sosio-Ecologycal), and SECI (Sosio-Entropy Control Interface). The result of the research showed that: the alteration of social system was influenced by the alteration of Kolong. The score of influence was 88, 36%; the most factor in social variable that influenced by the alteration of Kolong system was technology and institutional organization; the factor which has the most interest and the most certainty was financial and availability of local human resources; the construction strategy should consider socio-psychology (stability), socio-ecology (efficiency), socio-economic (productivity), dan sosio-cultural (sustainability).
