EFFECT OF INTEGRATED WEED MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON NUTRIENT UPTAKE IN ONION (ALLIUM CEPA L.) (N, P AND K)B. Ramachandraiah, N. Hariprasad Rao and M. MadaviAbstract A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2010 at Model orchard, College of Horticulture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad to find out the effectiveness of integrated weed control on yield and economics of onion. The experiment was laid in RBD with 3 replications and 13 treatments with pre emergence herbicides (PE) +Pendimethalin, Oxyfluorfen, Oxadiargyl and a post emergence herbicide (POE) Quizalofop ethyl and cultural practices with hand weeding and their combinations. The results indicated that the nutrient uptake (N,P and K) was significantly highest (48.20, 16.36 and 82.56 kg ha-1 respectively) with application of Oxadiargyl @ 90 g a.i ha-1 (PE) + Quizalofop ethyl @ 75 g a.i ha-1 (POE) at 2-3 leaf stage of weed
