MANAGEMENT OF GREEN GRAM POWDERY MILDEW (ERYSIPHE POLYGONI DC.) BY FOLIAR SPRAY OF FUNGICIDES AND TRICHODERMA SPPNeeraj Kumar Meena, Sunil Zacharia and Nithin B. PatilAbstract Powdery mildew caused by Erysiphe polygoni DC. is an important foliar disease of green gram in India. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of four fungicides (Propiconazole, Carbendazim, Wettable sulphur and Mancozeb) and two bio-agents (Trichoderma viride and Trichoderma harzianum) against powdery mildew of green gram, using a randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. In a field assay, the result showed that among the treatments Carbendazim, as foliar spray significantly to be most effective recorded with minimum percent disease intensity on leaves followed by Wettable sulphur, Propiconazole, Mancozeb, Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma viride. The experiment revealed that, among the treatments Carbendazim (10.15), significantly recorded maximum yield (q/ha) followed by Wettable sulphur (9.76), Propiconazole (9.22), Mancozeb (8.60), Trichoderma harzianum (7.88) and Trichoderma viride (7.22).
