Abstract

The Panzara dam water was analysed for its water quality and biological aspects in relation to algae.The work was carried out from January 1994 to December 1995. It was thought worth to fulfil the lacunna in the study of hydro- biological aspects of algae of Panzara dam.The dam is situated on Pa.nzara river of Khandesh area of Maharashtra.The mcst pollution tolerant genera and species of 4 groups of algae were recorded from 3 station of dam were assessed for.
