INFLUENCE OF CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE AND AGROFORESTRY IN MAINTAINING SUSTAINABILITY IN MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA

Abstract

Agriculture has been a source of livelihood in India since time immemorial. Various changes were brought in the country’s Agriculture sector throughout this time, scientists and researchers have been working continuously around the clock to bring new technologies and incorporate new methodologies for the benefit of farmers. Now, scientists are giving more emphasis on Sustainable Agriculture, and trying to reduce the ill effects of the Green Revolution. There are various approaches to attain sustainability like conservation agriculture, and agroforestry. In this paper, a comprehensive explanation and idea about the use of these two components of sustainable agriculture is discussed concerning the current agriculture situation of Madhya Pradesh. Detailed information about the working of these aspects in a sustainable manner is illustrated and how it will help enhance resource efficiency and Agroecology.
