IMPACT OF PRESOWING TREATMENT WITH PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS AND ORGANICS ON SEED GERMINATION AND SEEDLING VIGOUR IN MUNGBEAN (VIGNA RADIATA)

Abstract

A Lab experiment was conducted during rabi season 2020-2021 in Mung bean at SHUATS Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The study was carried out to know the impact of pre sowing treatment with Plant Growth Regulators and Organics on Seed Germination and seedling vigour in mung bean (Vigna radiata). The treatments consisted of PEG6000 100 ppm and 50 ppm, SA 100 ppm and 50 ppm, ascorbic acid 100 ppm and 50 ppm, neem leaf extract 5% , moringa leaf extract 5%, curry leaf extract 5% concentration which were laid by CRD (completely Randomized Design). The maximum value recorded at T3 (salicylic acid) 50 ppm and lowest recorded at T0 (control).
