The study is based on seasonal variation in the abundance of rotifers from five perennial fresh water bodiesat Navi Mumbai. The observations were recorded from February 2013 to January 2014. Family Brachionidae wasobserved as dominant family in all these water bodies in terms of rotifer diversity and abundance. Pollutionindicators species like Brachinousangularis, Filinialongiseta, Rotariarotatoria were recorded. Species diversity, evenness and richness exhibited highest values in Seawood and Kamothe ponds.
