PRODUCTION OF LACCASE BY ASPERGILLUS TERREUS AND SOME BASIDIOMYCETES IN CONTAMINATED MEDIA WITH AROMATIC COMPOUNDSA.A. SAFARI SINEGANI, C. EMTIAZI AND S. HAJRASULIHA
Production of laccase (E.C.184.108.40.206) by Aspergillus terreus, Armillaria sp., Polyporus sp. and Phanerochaete chraysosporium in the N-ethyl aniline, N, N-dimethyl aniline, benzyl alcohol, benzaldehyde, 2- chloro aniline, and para bromo aniline treated liquid culture media were assessed. Laccase production by Polyporus sp. were significantly higher than the other fungi in all treatments. The order of laccase production potential of these fungi in their cultures was A. terreus < P. chrysosporium < Armillaria sp.
