INFLUENCE OF CITRATE MULTI-MICRONUTRIENT CHELATE ON GROWTH AND PRODUCTIVITY IN FENUGREEK (TRIGONELLA FOENUM L.)Aishwarya N. Markad and S.L. Laware
The current experiment was carried out during March 2018 to May 2018 at Sonai, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra to study the effect of foliar application of citrate multi-micronutrient chelate on the growth and productivity in fenugreek (Trigonellafoenum-graecum L.). The experiment was set using RBD with four replications which consisted of various doses of citrate multi-micronutrient chelate. The spraying of citrate multi-micronutrient chelate was done at 10, 20 and 30 DAS. The treatment doses included 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm and 200 ppm citrate multi-micronutrient chelate. Two control (water spray and 50 ppm citric acid) treatments were also given to fenugreek. Foliar application of 100 ppm citrate multi-micronutrient chelate significantly improved the plant height, number of leaves plant-1, number of branches plant-1 and productivity parameters such as flowers plant-1, pods plant-1, pod length and seeds pod-1. This citrate multi-micronutrient chelate can prove useful for eliminating the micronutrient deficiency in plants and beneficial in organic farming.
