Abstract

The experiment was conducted to examine the effect of addition of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) waste in the rations against broiler chicken growth. This study uses a completely randomized design method were divided into 4 treatment groups which were; as a control ration (0% waste of Virgin Coconut Oil); 12.5%waste of Virgin Coconut Oil; 25% waste of Virgin Coconut Oil; 50% waste of Virgin Coconut Oil. Samples are classified into four groups and ten replications. The trial time is two weeks in the finisher period. The results were analyzed statistically through analysis of variance (ANOVA). If significant differences are found between each treatment, the analysis will be continued with a Significant Difference Test. The statistical analysis result showed that the addition of VCO waste at level up to 50 % caused no significant differences(p> 0.05) in broiler consumption, but was significantly different (p <0.05) with increasing in body weight and feed conversion.
