Abstract

A two year field experiment to investigate the effect of different sources of organic manure (FYM, Vermicompost and Poultry Manure) alone or in combination on growth and seed yield of okra var. Seli Special was carried out at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Rajouri, SKUAST-Jammu (J&K) India during the kharif season of year 2016 and 2017. The experiment in each year was carried out in Randomized Block design with eight treatments (including control- recommended fertilizers dose) replicated four times and data was pooled. The results revealed that out of all the treatments, significantly highest seed yield of 152. kg/ha was recorded in treatment combination T7- Half dose FYM + 1/4th dose each (VC @ 1.87t/ha +PM @ 1.25t/ha) followed by 149.3 kg/ha in T8- Control (Recommended fertilizer dose). All the other contributing traits also follow the same pattern. Moreover, organic manures have significantly performed better in combination treatments as compared to single organic manure treatment (FYM, Poultry manure or Vermicompost).
