Abstract

In this research are presented the main results of evaluation the genetic variability of the millet collection of various ecology-geographical origin (Afghanistan, Belgium, Hungary, China, Canada, India, Iran, Mexico, Pakistan, Russia, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France). For determination of genetic variability of the collection during the implementation of our research 9 SSR and 8iPBS markers were tested. Among the analyzed markers 9 SSR-markers (SieSSR18; SieSSR23; SieSSR24; SieSSR31; SieSSR33; SieSSR40; SieSSR65; SieSSR84; SieSSR91; SieSSR101a and SieSSR164) were not informative in comparison with iPBS markers, as they did not demonstrate the polymorphism for the experimental genotypes of millet. Six iPBS-markers (2270; 2271; 2276; 2095; 2374 and 2378) have yielded the reproduced result with all the studied millet samples. Results of assessment of genetic polymorphism of the millet collection with use of iPBS-markers (2095; 2270; 2271; 2272; 2276; 2277; 2374 and 2378) demonstrated various level of polymorphism: from three to seven alleles for one microsatellite locus. 2095 and 2378 markers with maximum polymorphism, they stood out, their percents were 85.7 and 100% respectively.
